Awards Night

Each year at the June meeting, SONRA holds its Annual Awards Night and BBQ. Monday, June 14, 2010 saw our members gather at Admiralty House Museum and Archives (VO1BZM) to recognize the accomplishments and work of the Amateur community. The awards presented were for the previous calendar year.

Awards presented for 2009:

Ernie Ash Award (Ham of the Year) - Doug VO1DTM
Rookie of the Year - Rob VO1REC
Clarence Mitchell Award (CW) - Not awarded this year.
Elmer Award - Ev VO1DK
Harold Wells Award (Biggest Contribution to Field Day) - Doug VO1CN
Smallwood Trophy (Field Day Award) - SONRA
Laban Davis ARES Memorial (Club) - Upper Trinity Amateur Radio Club (UTARC)
Laban Davis ARES Memorial (Individual) - Joe VO1BQ
A special award is presented commemorating the late Harold (Hal) Dickinson xVO1MG.
This award goes to an amateur that has shown acts of humanity and significance to amateur radio.
The Hal Dickinson Award was presented to Cal VO1NY.
